In order to encourage home gardening among members of the SWOAD organization and to help people secure their household food needs through cultivation during the current economic crisis, vegetable seeds were distributed across the organization’s operational areas.
A total of 895 selected members from the six Divisional Secretariat areas of Pothuvil, Thirukkovil, Kalmunai, Karaitivu, Sammanthurai, and Navithanveli were provided with vegetable seeds such as brinjal, ladies’ finger (okra), bitter gourd, snake gourd, and leafy vegetables.
The seed packages were officially handed over on 24.04.2026 by the Founder and Coordinator of SWOAD, Mr. S. Senthurasa, to the respective Divisional Managers for distribution in their areas.
